We’ve crafted our Pure Light range to have maximum flavour with less alcohol and less calories than full strength wines. Pure Light 6% extends your social session. With 50% less alcohol and 45% less calories, without compromising on flavour!

How does it taste?
Pure Light Pinot Gris is a bright, exciting expression of Marlborough that offers layers of delicate pear blossom aromatics with sweet spice. The palate is light yet textural, with flavours of quince paste and papaya.
This lighter in alcohol Pinot Gris finishes fresh with balanced sweetness.
50% less alcohol. 45% less calories
At 6% alc./vol. this wine is 50% lighter in alcohol compared to our standard Pinot Gris (12.5% alc./vol), with only 48 calories and 1.6g of sugar per 125ml glass.
When we say there’s a Giesen wine for every occasion, we mean it! If you’re reducing or moderating your alcohol intake, our lighter alcohol and alcohol-removed wines offer a delicious alternative for consumers.
How is Pure Light made?
You might be wondering how it’s possible to actually make a wine that’s lighter in alcohol but still packs a punch of intense Marlborough flavour.
We go through the entire winemaking process to craft a full-strength Pinot Gris wine and then use advanced spinning cone technology to gently remove some of the alcohol to give a full flavoured 6% alc./vol. Pinot Gris. Deliciously fresh with only half the alcohol.
Finally we carefully collect the delicate aroma and add it back into the body of the 6% wine retaining all the aroma and flavour.
