Made With Care
We pay particular attention to detail in our Uncharted wines, hand-picking only small premium parcels of fruit from two blocks in our Southern Valleys vineyards with heavier soils.
This adds texture and subtle flint notes, and ensures an intense and distinctive flavour profile that characterises the Southern Valleys subregion. Fruit is hand sorted in the vineyard to select only perfect bunches.
Feast Your Eyes
We love our Uncharted Pinot Noir served with New Zealand lamb cutlets marinated in garlic and fresh herbs before a quick char on the barbeque.
This pairing is sure to surprise and delight your guests - there's nothing like sharing a new wine that's a bit special and they've never tried before.
Critical Reviews
Ranked #6 2019 Marlborough Pinot Noir of 102 Tasted
94 Points, 4 Stars
"From grapes grown in the Southern Valleys subregion. Reasonably deep-tinted Pinot Noir with dark-fleshed plum, dark cherry, cassis, grape stems. Fine peppery tannins give structure without making the wine at all inaccessible. A smart Pinot with character."
"Ripe, varietal, dense, fruity and most importantly - pinosity - a bouquet with scents of red berries and dark roses, fine baking spice layers and mild toasty wood complexity. On the palate - equally appealing with flavours of raspberry and dark cherry, a touch of dried herb then toasty oak spices of vanilla and a touch of clove. "
"The nose is soft and fragrant, nuances of dark shaded plums, cherries, melded with earth, deep florals, spices and an alluring bonfire smokiness. Medium-full bodied, the palate is clean with a sense of purity, aromas of black cherries, plums have a good core, unfolding thyme, violet, black pepper. The finish is bright with vitality, supported by integrated acid. Fine-grained, velvety tannin form a fine structure, along with subtle barrel smokiness, lends an elegant, sustained finish."

"This bold, youthful red was grown in the Southern Valleys and matured in French oak puncheons (24% new). Full-coloured, it is freshly scented and vibrantly fruity, with generous, ripe cherry, plum and spice flavours, gently seasoned with oak, and supple tannins."

"Pristine and gorgeously inviting, the bouquet shows dark plum, spiced cherry, olive and roasted nut aromas. It's equally attractive on the palate, displaying fleshy texture and silky tannins, making it comforting and highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2025."
"An intriguing fragrance builds, tilled earth, warm leather, smoke, mixed berry jus. Richly mouthfilling, nice integration, intense dark fruits, spice and savoury notes with vibrancy and crispness to the palate. Sweet fruit notes grow with aeration with a blueberry, spice and savoury-accented finish revealing some of its youth. Drinkability and potential too."
"Dark, ripe and plush with intoxicating aromas of cherry, plum, leather and truffle. Dry, graceful and more reserved on the palate, with bramble, liquorice, redcurrant and mocha flavours that fan out gently from a deep, smoky core. More savoury – wet earth, pepper and cinnamon – as the balance between some svelte tannins and a medium acidity carry the wine onwards. Some subtle oak influence shows with a nutty, vanilla undertow towards the long, juicy finish."

"Bring out the Peking Duck! Uncharted is a perfect match. Fleshy, velvety, dark cherry/plum, richly flavoured, succulent, nuanced with carefully apportioned oak, and enhanced by a food-friendly, savoury undertone. Utterly delicious, you’ll be going back for your second glass before you know it!"
