We’ve crafted our Pure Light range to have maximum flavour with less alcohol and less calories than full strength wines. Pure Light 6% extends your social session. With 50% less alcohol and 45% less calories, without compromising on flavour!
At Giesen we are committed to producing premium low and no, alcohol removed wines with low calories, using our innovative spinning cone technology we gently remove the alcohol until we are left with 6% and full flavour.
Expect delicate aromas of crushed blackberry and wild herbs in this dealcoholized Premium Red Blend. Crushed red berries and plum offset by toasted oak on the palate combine to give a light and refreshing option with classic structure and fine, powdery tannins on the finish.

How does it taste?
Ripe plum and blackberry notes combine with sweet baking spice and toasty notes on the nose. The palate displays layers of dark berry fruit and vanilla from French oak aging, supported by fine tannin which gives the wine structure and a long dry finish.
50% less alcohol. 45% less calories
At 6% alc./vol. this wine is 50% lighter in alcohol compared to our standard Giesen Merlot (12.5% alc./vol), with only 48 calories and 1.6g of sugar per 125ml glass.

How is Pure Light made?
You might be wondering how it’s possible to actually make a wine that’s lighter in alcohol but still packs a punch of intense Marlborough flavour.
We go through the entire winemaking process to craft a full-strength Merlot wine and then use advanced spinning cone technology to gently remove some of the alcohol to give a full flavoured 6% alc./vol. Merlot. Deliciously fresh with only half the alcohol.
Finally we carefully collect the delicate aroma and add it back into the body of the 6% wine retaining all the aroma and flavour.
